We're underway at Selhurst Park.
Palace pass an early test at the back as Benteke clears Grosicki's free-kick away from danger. The Eagles conceded early against City last week, so that should calm some nerves.
After looking like they had done enough to beat the drop since Silva's arrival, the club's defeat at the hands of Sunderland last week has put their top-flight status in jeopardy. The Tigers have an inferior goal difference to both of their relegation rivals - as a result, a victory must be their priority this afternoon to avoid further heartbreak on the final day.
The formula for Hull is simple today. If they are beaten by the Eagles they will be joining Sunderland and Middlesbrough in the Championship next season in an immediate return to the second tier. If they win or draw Marco Silva's men will take the battle for the drop into the final day of the season.
Good morning and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Hull City at Selhurst Park.
Palace must have also believed they were safe from the perils of relegation following their impressive run of form that saw them defeat Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. However, three defeats on the bounce, including one damaging home loss against Burnley have put them in trouble.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Sam Allardyce has never been relegated as a manager from the Premier League, and that record will be put to the test this afternoon - with a draw or a victory guaranteeing their safety. A loss would send the Eagles to Old Trafford next week in danger of dropping down to the second tier.
Palace have made two changes from their side that was hammered 5-0 by Manchester City last week. James Tomkins and Yohan Cabaye come into the side this afternoon, replacing Patrick van Aanholt and James McArthur.
Hull have been forced into two changes from their defeat to Sunderland. Abel Hernandez and Lazar Markovic both miss out due to injury, with Michael Dawson and Evandro replacing them in the line-up.
STAT ATTACK! Hull have not won in 17 away matches in the Premier League - since beating Swansea on the opening day of the season.
STAT ATTACK! Hull have not beaten Palace in their last three Premier League matches, losing once and drawing twice.
The players are making their way out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
HALF-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 2-0 HULL
Hull have 45 minutes to find two or more goals to save themselves from relegation after a disastrous first half for Marco Silva's men. The game could not have started any worse for the visitors when Andrea Ranocchia missed his kick and allowed Wilfried Zaha a free run to slot his effort past Eldin Jakupovic.
The Tigers will also feel hard done by as two missed handball decisions from Martin Atkinson cost them. First he missed a handball by Zaha in the build-up to Christian Benteke's header to double Crystal Palace's lead, while no more than a minute later the referee missed Jason Puncheon's block with his outstretched arm in the box.
Palace have been clinical enough and solid at the back, which will delight Sam Allardyce. He knows that his side are just 45 minutes away from securing their place in the Premier League for another season.
HULL CITY ARE RELEGATED FROM THE PREMIER LEAGUE!
FULL-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 4-0 HULL CITY
Hull's relegation is confirmed as they are hammered this afternoon by Crystal Palace, who retain their Premier League status. The Eagles' victory also allows Swansea to remain the top flight next season.
The Tigers seemed doomed from the off as Andrea Ranocchia's mistake handed Wilfried Zaha the opening goal inside the third minute. Christian Benteke's headed effort in the 34th minute put the game beyond the visitors, while further strikes from Luka Milivojevic and Patrick van Aanholt compounded the agony.
Sam Allardyce has done it again, guiding another club to safety as he did with Sunderland last term. It was closer than he would have liked, but Palace managed to get over the line in the end.
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
