Liverpool are lookign much more assured in seeing this out now, but the job isn't done yet. After a good spell in the attacking half, Oxlade-Chamberlain concedes a free-kick at the other end and Schmeichel is up in anticipation of a delivery...
90' +2
J. Vardy gets yellow.
Vardy hasn't stopped running tonight and that holds true deep in stoppage-time here, but his eagerness results in a foul as he tries to win the ball back for his side. This one comes with a yellow card.
90'
There will be five minutes added on at the end of this first half - plenty for a late twist in the tale.
88'
Into the dying moments of the match and you could cut this tension with a plastic knife. Liverpool have seen this story play out too many times and are determined to avoid a repeat of the script, but they are coming under loads of pressure now as they start to drop very deep.
86'
Boos ring out aroung the King Power as Milner goes down for a second. The crowd things it's a time-wasting tactic, but the substitute pops back up 30 seconds later and is able to walk it off. Liverpool can't afford to lose him having already used up all three substitutions.
84'
JUST WIDE! Absolutely superb delivery from Vardy there to pick out Slimani with a cross, but the substitute heads agonisingly wide! The referee blew for a foul on Morgan, so it wouldn't have counted anyhow, but that's a good motivator for the Foxes.
82'
Important save from Schmeichel to parry a well-struck effort from Sturridge, who tried his luck from just over 20 yards. It's wonderfully poised as we enter these final 10 minutes, with Leicester still firmly entrenched in the belief that they can complete the comeback.
80'
I. Slimani enters the game and replaces M. Albrighton.
Leicester make their final change as well, bringing Islam Slimani on for Albrighton.
79'
A. Oxlade-Chamberlain enters the game and replaces Philippe Coutinho.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaces Coutinho with Liverpool's final change.
Minute
Description
76'
STAT: Jamie Vardy has now scored six goals in his last four Premier League games against Liverpool, including two braces at the King Power Stadium. Indeed, against no other side has Vardy scored more top-flight goals, also netting five against Arsenal.
74'
J. Milner enters the game and replaces E. Can.
K. Ịheanachọ enters the game and replaces S. Okazaki.
James Milner comes on for Liverpool here as Klopp opts for experience, replacing Can.
Leicester's second change sees Kelechi Iheanacho enter the fray at the expense of Okazaki.
73'
Penalty saved by S. Mignolet!
MIGNOLET SAVES! He's not stopped five of his last eight penalties faced for Liverpool, and what a huge stop this is to deny Vardy from completing Leicester's comeback! Still work to be done for the Reds to see this out, though.
Vardy's effort was struck with plenty of power, but it was a bit too central and at a comfortable height for Mignolet to parry.
72'
S. Mignolet gets yellow.
PENALTY TO LEICESTER! INCREDIBLE! Vardy splits the defence to get on the end of a throughball and nudges it beyond Mignolet before being taken out by the keeper, who is shown a yellow card. The keeper was the last man between Vardy and the goal, so why is that not red?
70'
There were just 90 seconds between Henderson's goal, his first for Liverpool in 372 days, and Vardy's, which has left the game delicately poised yet again! What is it about this Liverpool team that make it so difficult on themselves to put games to bed?!
69'
J. Vardy has scored a goal for Leicester City!
GAME ON AGAIN! Liverpool can't put this game to bed as Leicester refuse to die! A well-worked move leads to a chance for Gray on the volley. Mignolet parries the initial effort, but Vardy is Johnny-on-the-spot to head home the rebound into an empty net!
68'
J. Henderson has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by D. Sturridge.
Sturridge makes a big impact off the bench, providing an assist.
LIVERPOOL RESTORE THEIR TWO-GOAL LEAD! It's a sucker punch in every regard from the Reds, who break up the pitch in numbers. Sturridge rolls a pass across for Henderson, who places a confident finish beyond Schmeichel in acres of space at the top of the penalty area!
66'
TERRIFIC TACKLE! That's excellent stuff from Matip, who slides in at the crucial moment to deny Vardy from close range! Still, signs of encouragement for the hosts, who need something to build on.
64'
D. Sturridge enters the game and replaces Roberto Firmino.
A first Liverpool change here as Daniel Sturridge replaces Firmino, who has played well but been wasteful up top.
63'
STAT: Leicester have won two in a row over Liverpool at the King Power. They last won three home league games in a row against the Reds back between September 1955 and October 1962.
61'
D. Gray enters the game and replaces R. Mahrez.
There's the pace, as Demarai Gray is brought on at the expense of Mahrez.
60'
Shakespeare needs to make a change here to spruce things up in attack. Mahrez has been quiet today and Okazaki, although excellent up top, is starting to fade. They could really use a bit more pace off the bench.
58'
Leicester aren't packing the same punch they had in abundance after falling 2-0 down. It was that fighting spirit that kick-started their comeback, one which has since sputtered and fallen flat since the restart.
56'
D. Lovren gets yellow.
Lovren shouts for a penalty after claiming to have had his shirt tugged in the area as he tried to get on the end of a corner, but in the process he earns himself a booking for dissent as he was a bit too spirited in his protest.
54'
Liverpool pushing the tempo now as they aim to restore their two-goal lead. They're just lacking a bit of width to their approach at the moment - the sort of width that worked wonders for them in the first half.
52'
STAT: Liverpool have attempted a league-high 40 shots on target in their five games so far this season in the Premier League, more than double the tally opponents Leicester City have posted (14).
50'
Cagey start to the second half, but an energetic one at that. Both sides are chasing down the ball with great grit and determination, but seem to be counteracting each other in the process, as the ball has largely been contained in the midfield third.
48'
Well this second half is certainly much more in the balance now, isn't it? Okazaki's goal has pulled Leicester into touching distance, and Liverpool have had a tendancy to blow leads under Jurgen Klopp. Their resiliance will be tested again this evening.
46'
No changes at half-time as the second half gets underway!
45' +3
S. Okazaki has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by H. Maguire.
STUNNING SAVE! That's a terrific header from Vardy who had to bend as low as his waist to flick on the free-kick, but Mignolet reacts stunningly to keep it out!
LEICESTER PULL ONE BACK! On the stroke of half-time, it's game on! Dreadful defending from the corner as Mignolet whiffs on it before Gomez fails to clear. The ball falls kindly for Okazaki, who scrambles it into the empty net with the final kick of the first half! But was Mignolet fouled? Jordan Henderson thinks so.
Assist Harry Maguire
HALF-TIME: LEICESTER CITY 1-2 LIVERPOOL.
45' +2
J. Matip gets yellow.
Matip goes into the book in the dying embers of the first half as he fouls Vardy on the edge of the box - a needless intervention as Mignolet was always favoured to get to that ball first.
45'
There will be two minutes added on at the end of this first half.
43'
LASHED WIDE! So close to a third for Liverpool! Terrific bit of interplay as the ball comes to Firmino in the area, but he drags his strike just wide of the far post. A third before the half would certainly be the end for Leicester.
41'
STAT: Philippe Coutinho has scored more goals from outside the box than any other player in the Premier League since his debut.
39'
OFFSIDE! Okazaki thumps a finish sweetly into the back of the net after a clever flicked header from a free-kick sent him through, but the flag is up. The striker was offside when the free-kick was taken, but he appeared to be ONSIDE when it was nodded through to him - certainly a bit of controversy!
37'
Leicester have entered into the ascendency, gathering a bit of momentum as they approach the interval at the King Power. They need to make this spell count, if not with a goal than at least with a chance to provide some encouragement before the second half.
35'
Liverpool have dropped off a bit, almost inviting Leicester to come at them. The hosts do manage a decent attacking move down the left, but it ends with the ball safely in the arms of Mignolet.
33'
There's no consistent link for Vardy, who is having to drop too deep to get himself involved. Leicester need to take more chances, but they're understandably wary with Liverpool clearly in the mood today.
31'
Back on the front foot go the Reds, in search of a third goal that would undoubtedly put this game to bed. Coutinho is looking unstoppable, with the likes of Wijnaldum and Can putting in some excellent work in transition.
29'
STAT: Since the start of 2016-17, Liverpool have won more points from losing positions in Premier League matches than any other side (20) – however, they have also lost 20 points from winning positions in this period (5th most).
27'
Leicester have mounted a bit of a response now, but there's been nothing to make Mignolet work aside from that lone Vardy effort. The Foxes' moments in attack have been sporadic, but Liverpool continue to pose a consistent threat.
25'
Well this is far from the start Leicester would have envisioned, but what an opening 25 minutes for Liverpool - two moments of brilliance from Coutinho, a terrific finish from Salah and an effort off the woodwork from Can. It's 2-0, but could be even worse for the Foxes.
23'
Philippe Coutinho has scored a goal for Liverpool!
STUNNER! ABSOLUTE STUNNER! No doubt about it, Coutinho is back! The Brazilian lines up the free-kick and sends a laser into the back of the net - over the wall, dipping thereafter, bending away from the keeper and in at the near post. Just sensational!
22'
W. Ndidi gets yellow.
Another big chance here for Liverpool as Moreno is fouled by Ndidi, who sees yellow, winning the visitors a free-kick in a central position, about 25 yards from goal.
21'
Are you not entertained? It's been a simply breathtaking opening 20 minutes at the King Power, and we have come to expect nothing less when Liverpool are in action - there's been 17 goals combined through their first five league matches.
19'
STAT: Leicester City have won just two of their last 10 Premier League clashes with Liverpool (D2 L6). However, both those wins have come in the last three games (both at the King Power Stadium).
17'
M. Albrighton gets yellow.
Albrighton catches Salah from behind with a late challenge to go into the book. Leicester unravelling a bit here...
15'
Mohamed Salah has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by Philippe Coutinho.
Remarkable from Coutinho with that cross. You can't say enough about the quality of that assist.
THERE'S THE OPENER! You just knew it was coming! That's an absolute peach of a delivery from Coutinho, bending an exquisite cross in towards the far post and it's the perfect height to float over Chilwell and in for Salah, who finishes expertly with the close-range header!
14'
INCHES WIDE! It wouldn't have counted in the end as the offside flag was raised, but that's a delightful delivery from Albrighton to find the head of Okazaki, who directs his header just beyond the far post.
13'
HOW DID THAT STAY OUT?! Thunderous effort from Can who has a real knack for finding the goal from range! This one is lashed across goal from 25 yards and cannons off the inside of the post, before the rebound is sent wide by Salah with the goal gaping!
11'
Vardy is particularly lively in these opening stages, but his eagerness works against him here as he's penalised for a high boot on Can. Liverpool pass up the chance to send a ball into the box from the resulting set-piece, however, opting to play it short and look to build patiently in attack.
9'
STAT: Klopp has won an average of 1.81 points per game in the Premier League against clubs outside the ‘big six’; only marginally better than he has averaged in matches against the ‘big six’ (1.80).
7'
Liverpool respond with a niftily worked set-piece routine that results in a corner. The ensuing delivery is swept up by Schmeichel, who immediately starts Leicester the other way. No rest in this match!
5'
BIG SAVE! Early warning issued by Leicester as they break with pace, before Okazaki springs Vardy behind the defence. Mignolet makes the initial save from a tight angle before Mahrez lifts the rebound over the bar!
3'
You would expect nothing less than a high-flying encounter between these two sides, and that's how it has started off here with a delicious tempo. The atmosphere is typically electric, as well, at the King Power this evening.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Leicester in blue, attacking left to right, with Liverpool in red.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from the King Power Stadium as Leicester City aim for a repeat of Tuesday’s EFL Cup victory over Liverpool when they host the Reds for the second time in five days!
Liverpool were dumped out of the EFL Cup at the King Power just four days ago, and revenge will be on their mind today as they desperately try to pull themselves back into the title race.
At one point is it time for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool to hit the panic button? The Reds have tumbled through September, going four matches without a victory across all competitions following a 4-0 win over Arsenal to end August.
It has been a rocky start to the Premier League campaign for Leicester, with just one win through five matches to start the season, but confidence will be high after their cup exploits against the Reds in midweek.
If Craig Shakespeare’s side are to have any hope of returning to Europe, they are going to have to win these sorts of games, and continuously dropping points this early in the season could see them dig too deep a hole to climb out of come the second half.
Craig Shakespeare makes just one change from their goalless draw at Huddersfield Town, bringing Shinji Okazaki in to play behind Jamie Vardy, replacing Kelechi Iheanacho, who drops to the bench.
Jurgen Klopp makes five changes from their draw at home to Burnley. Philippe Coutinho pushes into attack, with Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum restored in midfield, replacing James Milner and Daniel Sturridge. Joe Gomez, Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno join Joel Matip in defence, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ragnar Klavan and Andrew Robertson.
A wildly entertaining first half at the King Power! Philippe Coutinho's brilliance helped Liverpool get off to a commanding, and deserved, 2-0 lead, but Shinji Okazaki pulled one back deep in stoppage time, a controversial tally but one he deserves after having a goal disallowed earlier for a debatable offside decision.
Philippe Coutinho's brilliance does Leicester in as his majestic goal and assist in the first half are followed up by a Jordan Henderson strike, proving to be just enough to secure all three points. Jamie Vardy had a chance to level the score from the penalty spot just moments after making it 3-2, but Simon Mignolet rose to the occasion to preserve the win for Jurgen Klopp's side.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
