Hello and welcome to tonight's live La Liga text commentary of Real Madrid vs Las Palmas from the Santiago Bernabeu.
The hosts come into this game under pressure after losing their last two games but Las Palmas have been in terrible form after winning just two games all season. Madrid are fourth ahead of the game, with Las Palmas lying in 19th.
Team news coming up...
Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has seen his side win two of their last five matches and a win tonight would boost the confidence levels ahead of the international break. They lost to Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday, while Las Palmas were beaten 3-1 by Deportivo La Coruna last time out.
Real Madrid Starting XI (4-3-1-2): Casilla, Nacho, Jesus Vallejo, Ramos, Marcelo, Kroos, Casemiro, Isco, Asensio, Ronaldo, Benzema.
Madrid SUBS: Moha Ramos, Modric, Vazquez, Ceballos, Llorente, Mayoral, Hernandez.
Las Palmas Starting XI (3-5-2): Lizoain, Navarro, Lemos, Bigas, Macedo, Dani Castellano, Gomez, Javi Castellano, Aquilani, Calleri, Vitolo.
Las Palmas SUBS: Herrera, Remy, Samper, Santana, Chichizola, Momo, Garcia.
Zidane makes two changes to the team that lost to Spurs as Vallejo and Asensio replace Hakimi and Modric. Las Palmas coach Pako Ayestaran has made four changes to the side that were unable to get past Deportivo as Navarro, Macedo, Javi Castellano and Aquilani come in for Michel, Samper, Viera and Remy.
Less than 10 minutes to go until kick-off as the players finish their warm-ups.
HALF-TIME - Real Madrid 1-0 Las Palmas.
Despite being well below their best, Madrid deserve to lead at the break. While the goal comes from the unlikely source of Casemiro, it shows Madrid still have plenty of attacking threat after a tough few weeks. Benzema and Ronaldo could have scored before that but Zidane will be pleased to see his team in front.
Las Palmas have worked hard so far and will be frustrated to concede from a set piece but they will still pose a threat going forward. Madrid need to score the second goal and that should see the visitors lose their confidence.
FULL-TIME Real Madrid 3-0 Las Palmas.
After a tough week, Madrid get the job done against Las Palmas on home soil. Goals from Casemiro, Asensio and Isco do the damage as Zidane's side move on from back-to-back defeats.
While they were not at their best, Madrid kicked into gear at the right time and will breath a huge sigh of relief going into the international break. Ronaldo's wait for a goal continues, but Jesus Vallejo's La Liga debut went well at the back.
That is all for tonight's action, thanks for joining us. Goodbye!
Las Palmas should be pleased with their efforts and they will get easier ties in the coming weeks. Ayestaran is under pressure but he is experienced enough to help them climb out of the drop zone.
