Benfica aren't pressing in the way they should, two goals down with 10 minutes on the clock, if they're looking to salvage some hope for their European season. Moscow are content to merely play it slowly upfield right now.
78'
A chance for Berezutski, who finds a deflection coming back his way on the edge of the Benfica box - only for his own shot to richochet off Dzagoev who is still lurking in the box, and bounce out to the right for a goal-kick.

77'
K. Kuchaev enters the game and replaces Vitinho.
Indeed, Vitinho is now replaced, with Kuchaev on in his place.
74'
The visitors are gradually feeling their way back into this game again but it certainly feels too little too late. On the Moscow side, Vitinho gestures to the bench - he still seems somewhat in discomfort as he bursts here and there across the field.
72'
B. Natcho gets yellow.
It's another free kick to Benfica and another booking to Moscow - this time, Natcho incurs the yellow card for a reckless challenge on Fejsa in midfield.
71'
Jonas' free-kick is smart and cuts mnicely over the wall - but Akinfeev reads it great and places himself well to collect.
70'
K. Nababkin gets yellow.
A dangerous free-kick for Moscow to give away here - Nababkin is booked for a challenge on Jonas 20 yards out on the centre-left of field and the visitors have a great chance to pull one back.

66'
The Moscow man appears to have recovered speedily though - he tears off down the left wing with a deflected, fakes out Almeida at the back, and then pulls his narrow shot into the side netting. Benfica looking all over the place here.
63'
A stoppage in play now as Vitinho comes down awkwardly from a high challenge for the ball and crumples. It looks to be his left thigh and he is helped from the field by a member of staff.
61'
Luisão gets yellow.
It's a booking for Luisao now after a hefty challenge on Vasin. Benfica have been deflated all of a sudden by that unfortunate goal, looking floppy in midfield.
60'
Moscow almost make it three as Fernandes taps back a cross from the right again to Vitinho, only for his chested half-volley to go straight to Varela this time.
56'
Jardel is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
R. Jiménez enters the game and replaces Filipe Augusto.
Oh no! That's not how Benfica wanted it to go! On another counter-attack, Moscow hare down the right touchline with Fernandes who crosses into Vitinho by the close post. The Brazilian gets up to the edge and tries to turn and curl it back to Wernbloom - only for it to take a deflection off a desperate Jardel slide tackle and squeeze in around Varela. Disaster for the visitors - that could very well be their European adventure for 2017 over.
A change for the visitors - Augusto is off and Jimenez is on.
55'
Shot from Almeida! The Benfica man drops a short volley after the ball ricochets around the edge of the Moscow box and Akinfeev is forced into his first save proper of the game, diving to collect.
54'
Against the run of play, Moscow cut a great counter-attack down the left through Dzagoev, only for him to mis-hit his forward pass to Wernbloom and Jardel to clear.
52'
Salvio looks to slip a cross into the box for Jonas, only for Ignashevich to put himself in the way again and steer it out of danger. Benfica certainly pressing forward more aggresively right now.
50'
K. Nababkin enters the game and replaces G. Shchennikov.
An early change now, enforced by injury - Shchennikov, the goalscorer, is limping badly, and departs for Kirill Nababkin to a round of applause.
48'
Benfica do appear to have increased fluidity in the opening minutes of the second half - they tear off down the wing and wrongfoot Natcho through some neat interplay between Fejsa and Salvio.
47'
It's an early sniff of a chance for the visitors as they get a free-kick twenty yards out on the right, only for Fizzi's effort to take a deflection to the feet of Ignashevich and Moscow clear with ease.
46'

37'
In a rare Portuguese attack, Goncalves gets a neat pass from the left into the Moscow box for Jonas; Vasin reads it first though and deals with the danger.
35'
A brief stoppage in midfield for a clash of heads now as Natcho and Eliseu challenge for the same ball and knock each other down by accident. Both get up after a moment and shrug it off with a grin and a pat on the back.
33'
Schennikov now comes hounding into the box after his own tap-forward, only for Varela to dive for it first and collect before the goalscorer can try for a second.
31'
Eliseu gets yellow.
Schennikov's effort finds Wernbloom on the right flank and again, the header spirals out into the crowd beyond the goal.

26'
Shot from Dzagoev! The Moscow striker catches a Vitinho cross from the left on the chest and volleys for the right of the net from dead in front on the edge of the box. Varela's save, a one-handed leap, is just as good and Benfica's small gathering roar in their corner of the ground.

18'
A free-kick now to Moscow on halfway as Augusto is deemed to have shoved Natcho whilst challenging for the ball.
16'
Benfica were not happy with that goal standing - and replays show that it was indeed offside. They almost equalise through Jonas moments later after he gets a header steered his way ten yards out from dead in front, only for his attempted half-volley to impact his leg and spray wide to the right.
13'
G. Shchennikov has scored a goal for CSKA Moscow! Assist by B. Natcho.
Assist Bibras Natcho
Was that offside? It certainly looked like it was - but Shchennikov opens the scoring for Moscow, after that Eliseu deflection finds Natcho who slips the through ball to the winger lurking just inside the box, who calmly slots it into the bottom right corner. 1-0 to the hosts.
12'
Golovin tries a neat little back pass in for Wernbloom from the right edge of the box, pnly for Eliseu to hack it away with a neat block and deflection.
10'
Moscow are pressing again, this time down their left channel; Schennikov can't deliver to Dzagoev without a Luisao interception though and Benfica ferry it back to midfield.
8'
Golovin slips a long cross down the right seeking out Vitinho, only for Eliseu to read it well and place himself first to collect and tap back to the safety of Varela's arms.
6'
Early nerves from both sides who are not as slick as they hope - Moscow lose the ball to Jardel with a weak flat pass only for him to then throw the ball away to Natcho with a tame effort to lob downfield.
4'
Oh, what a chance that was for Moscow! Wernbloom is played a lovely flat ball through to the edge of the box, where he reverses the direction and taps back to Vitinho, having pulled the Benfica back four to him. It's a sitter for the Brazilian - instead, he drills it over the bar with a poor finish.
2'
Augusto clips it in and a wayward leg from Vasin puts it out for a corner on Befica's left wing. The Portuguese side steer it in on the wide angle towards the edge of the box and Ignashevich steers it away.
1'
And we're off in Russia! Benfica get us underway, playing from left to right in red and white, and earn a free-kick out on the left flank some twenty-five yards out after a Berezutski foul.
Hello and welcome to the penultimate leg of the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League Group Stages, as winless Benfica look to keep their hopes of a Europa League qualification spot against a CSKA Moscow side who know a draw will be enough to secure trans-continental football in the new year. Can Rui Vitoria get his men off the ground at last after a disappointing campaign? Or will Viktor Goncharenko's team see them off in the Russian capital? Kick-off is just around the corner.
It's been a torrid international season for the Portuguese champions, suffering losses to Manchester United and Basel alongside their opposition tonight. Incredibly though, with the latter two only on six points each, a win in Moscow and victory for United against their Swiss hosts would mathematically mean that Benfica could still qualify for the knockout stages. It's an uphill battle – but a glimmer of hope remains on the horizon.
Recent memory is unkind to CSKA in the Champions League; on their last four appearances, they've stalled at the group stages. They last made it into the round of 16 in 2011/12, when they were knocked out by Real Madrid – their best ever showing was in 09/10, when they made it to the quarter finals and fell to eventual winners Inter Milan.
Moscow have stalled on home turf in recent European games too; they are winless in seven when hosting, and have only found the net in four of those. Against Benfica however, they are unbeaten – with two wins and a draw in three previous meetings, including a 2-1 win in Lisbon back on the first matchday of the season.
Benfica haven't won in four of their last five meetings with Russian teams - the lone exception being a win against Zenit in the round of 16 during the 2015/16 campaign. Their point-less international season too is matched by only one other side so far; Anderlecht, who are also winless in four games.
The teams are out for the anthem of the Champions League and we are moments away from kick-off.
Benfica's hopes of continuing on to the next round of the Champions League hang perilously in the balance after 45 minutes, thanks to a Georgy Schennikov goal on thirteen minutes that may or not have been offside. That aside, they've still been the lesser of two sides here in Russia - and will have to find another gear if they hope to secure spoils against a faster CSKA side. Half-time, it's CSKA Moscow 1-0 Benfica.
For eleven minutes after half-time, Benfica appeared to be on the cusp of hauling themselves back into this game and into the race for the last 16 and the Europa League. Instead, thanks to a cruel own goal off Jardel, they crumbled under the pressure, allowing Moscow to control the rest of the game from a comfortable lead. The hosts tee themselves up well for a stab at the knockout stages; the visitors crash out for definite. Full-time, it's CSKA Moscow 2-0 Benfica.
For Benfica, they will hope to meet Basel next week and come away with at least something to show for a terrible European campaign; as for Moscow, they will hope that Manchester United can do them a favour and win tonight to strengthen their position in second place ahead of their own match with the English side. Until then however, thank you for joining us - and have a good night!
