CHANCES BURNLEY! Excellent build-up play by Burnley, Ward is released down the left and looks like he is about to whip a cross into the box for Barnes, but instead he pulls it back to the edge of the area to Brady, who has a right-footed shot well blocked, before Defour fires his effort well over the bar.

Cork has just given away a poor free-kick close to the left corner-flag, which is whipped into the box by Sanchez but Pope does well to punch the ball well clear. However, the Gunners keep the pressure up and come again.

Burnley are having to do a lot more defending now and are being put under a lot more pressure in their own half, as the Gunners are playing a much higher pressure game. The visitors are starting to control the game now, just lacking a good final ball and opportunity.
51'
Lacazette with Arsenal's first shot on target this afternoon, the striker did well to turn and fire a low shot at goal but it was straight at Pope in the Burnley goal, who makes a comfortable save. Either side of the keeper and that would've caused him much more problems.

Good, patient football by Arsenal to work an opportunity in the Burnley final third. Sanchez heavily involved, they worked it from side to side, before Iwobi had a shot blocked by Mee on the edge of the area, it then fell to Monreal who fired a right-footed shot high over the crossbar.

OFF THE POST! What a great chance for Burnley, so close to taking the lead! Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson received the ball from Hendrick, he skipped past Monreal far too easily from an Arsenal point of view. The winger then fired a powerful strike at goal which cannoned off the post, it looked like it had Petr Cech well beaten at his near post. Best chance of the game.
Steven Defour picks up the first yellow card of the game for dissent. After looking at the replay, it looks like Cech got a slight touch to the strike by Guðmundsson and Burnley should've had a corner, which Defour stressed to the referee and picked up a booking for.
12'
Poor from Granit Xhaka as he side-foots a straightforward pass straight out into touch. Sead Kolasinac then gives away a cheap foul and Burnley have a freekick just inside Arsenal's half. Brady takes it short to Defour, he then whips it in but it's well cleared on the edge of the box.
10'
CHANCE BURNLEY! What an opportunity for the Clarets, Barnes with a diving header after an excellent cross into the box by Brady, and Barnes was just inches away from getting his head to it. The striker is furious as he feels he was pushed by an Arsenal defender on his way to meeting the cross, but the linesman has his flag up for offside anyway. That looks a certain Burnley penalty for the push by Nacho Monreal.

However, the referee felt it took a delfection off a Burnley man and a corner is awarded, taken by Sanchez, but well cleared by the hosts.
