Bayern secure their 19th DFB-Pokal and complete the domestic double after securing a 3-0 victory over Leipzig today after goals two goals from Lewandowski and a goal from Coman. They led 1-0 at the break, despite a terrific first half performance from Leipzig, but they couldn't convert their chances and Bayern punished them. The second half was breathless at times, end-to-end for much of it and there could have been many more goals. Neuer denied Leipzig early on, which would've been the equalising goal, but once Coman scored the second goal, there only seemed to be one winner. Lewandowski then wrapped up the win late on with a third goal. A great way for Robben and Ribery to end their Bayern careers.
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
This was Leipzig's first DFB-Pokal final and despite the defeat, they produced a commendable performance tonight and they have Champions League football to look forward to next season. Bayern showed their quality and this is now their 12th domestic double in their history.
