79'
L. Seijas enters the game and replaces S. Rondón.
Rondon leaves the pitch as Venezuela's all-time leading scorer, replaced by Seijas.

76'
Holmes takes USA's ninth corner of the game, but Miazga can't get his head on it at the near post and Venezuela clear.
75'
The pace of play is significantly slower in the second half, perhaps indicative of the fact that this is a friendly game. USA haven't conceded again though, so there's a very small positive to take away at least.
73'
Martinez tries a give-and-go with Rondon at the edge of the box, but Zimmerman stays strong and blocks the space, meaning the move breaks down.

Description
71'
Morris again picks up the ball out wide and cuts inside to pass into Altidore. He tries to pick up the return pass as he darts inside the box, but Venezuela clear. It's a decent move that just doesn't come off.

Morris nearly makes an instant impact with a well-hit left-footed shot from outside the box, but he doesn't get the right curl on the effort and it goes wide.

61'
Josef Martínez enters the game and replaces T. Rincón.
Rincon comes off for Martinez, the reigning MVP of MLS.
57'
Venezuela are on the attack now, spreading play wide to Murillo. He switches play to Hernandez on the right, via Rincon, but the attempted cross is blocked.
55'
Altidore is already making a difference up front. He's dropping into midfield and acting as a link between the two units, but still making sure he makes that forward run to offer an option in the final third.
54'
Altidore tests the Venezuelan defence with a throughball, but Roldan can't squeeze his way through and Farinez comes off his line to pick the ball up.
52'
Boyd spreads play wide to Lima, who fires a low ball across the six-yard box. It's dangerous, but Venezuela clear for a corner. This is much better from USA.
48'
W. Zimmerman gets yellow.
This is a big chance for Altidore to make a statement and show his manager that he deserves to be the number one striker. He hasn't appeared for USA since 2017.

45' +1
HALF-TIME: USA 0-3 VENEZUELA.
44'
Venezuela very nearly create another opportunity, but Murillo can't get his throughball into Savarino right and Steffen quells the danger.
42'
USA have Venezuela pushed back deep inside their own half, but it's a case of finding the final pass. Arriola attempts to do so with a cross, but he can only win a corner.
40'
Here comes Boyd with another corner, but Venezuela clear and end up winning a free-kick as McKennie challenges Rondon in the middle of the pitch.
36'
S. Rondón has scored a goal for Venezuela! Assist by T. Rincón.
GOAAAL! IT'S 3-0! Rondon grabs a brace! USA are pushed high up the pitch and Venezuela cut through them so easily, passing into Rondon inside the box. The striker takes a couple of touches to create some space and his left-footed shot finds the top-right corner!
Rincon's throughball into Rondon is the cherry on the cake of a slick sequence of passes - starting with Farinez - to completely break down the USA.
33'
Murillo has a chance to launch another attack, but his attempted throughball for Rondon is too heavy and the move breaks down.
32'
Miazga again is involved in the goal for the wrong reasons. He steps out of the defence during the throw, but doesn't communicate with his team-mates, hence creating such a massive space that Rondon exploits so perfectly.
30'
J. Savarino has scored a goal for Venezuela!
GOAL!! 2-0 VENEZUELA! USA are caught napping from a throw-in! Rondon has so much time and space outside the box after receiving the throw, but his curling effort cannons off the post. The bounce is somewhat lucky and Savarino is there to pounce on the rebound from inside the six-yard box at the right-hand post.
26'
Farinez sends a goal-kick deep into USA's half and Venezuela bring it down to retain possession. They've had some luck in the air so far and these long goal-kicks are proving quite effective.
24'
How will USA respond to going behind? They've stuck to their game-plan so far, but it may have to change if they continue to play this poorly.
22'
Boyd sends another first-time cross into the box, but Villanueva clears for a corner.
20'
This is not the start USA had in mind! While they've threatened in attack - namely through Boyd's deliveries - their defensive concentration is lacking, which is reflected in the sloppy and avoidable opening goal.
16'
S. Rondón has scored a goal for Venezuela! Assist by J. Murillo.
Murillo's awareness was superb. Herrera plays a pass into his feet so quickly and with an almost instinctive reaction, he manages to tee up Rondon with a neat flick under pressure
GOAL! VENEZUELA LEAD 1-0! Rondon capitalises on some extremely poor defending to score. Miazga passes back to Steffen, but the keeper attempts a pass into the middle of the pitch. Herrera intercepts quickly and feeds Murillo with a first-time pass, which he flicks into Rondon's path for a straightforward finish from the centre of the box.
15'
USA are being pinned back slightly here with some sustained Venezuela pressure, but the visitors aren't quite pulling off the killer pass in the final third.
12'
Miazga tries an over the top pass behind the defence, but Arriola - the intended target - hesitates slightly and Farinez comes off his line to sweep up the loose pass.
10'
Lima makes an overlapping run on the right flank, but his attempted is cross blocked by Mago for a corner.
9'
USA have finally managed to get a grip of the game and they're controlling possession well, but give the ball away to Venezuela after a series of passes.
7'
USA win a free-kick deep in Venezuelan territory after Arriola is fouled. It's Boyd to take.
5'
Did you know Boyd has previously represented New Zealand? The winger made his senior debut against Japan in March 2014, but was granted a one-time switch to represent USA in May 2019. He was thrown straight into the Gold Cup squad.
3'
Nothing much to report so far as both sides are feeling each other out. Neither Venezuela nor USA have been able to gain control of possession as they back-and-forth.

USA get this friendly started.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the international friendly between the United States and Venezuela.
This game comes at a crucial time for both sides - USA are hoping to rebound from Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat to Jamaica ahead of their Gold Cup title defence, while Venezuela need to bounce back from their own 3-1 loss to Mexico before the Copa America begins. Both countries are winless in their previous two fixtures.
USA XI (3-4-1-2): Zack Steffen; Matt Miazga, Aaron Long, Tim Ream; Paul Arriola, Weston McKennie, Will Trapp, Nick Lima; Cristian Roldan; Gyasi Zardes, Tyler Boyd.
SUBS: Tyler Miller, Sean Johnson, Omar Gonzalez, Walker Zimmerman, Jordan Morris, Daniel Lovitz, Jozy Altidore, Duane Holmes.
VENEZUELA XI (4-2-3-1): Wuilker Farinez; Roberto Rosales, Jhon Chancellor, Mike Villanueva, Luis Mago; Junior Moreno, Yangel Herrera; Jhon Murillo, Tomas Rincon, Jefferson Savarino; Salomon Rondon.
SUBS: Arquimedes Figuera, Josef Martinez, Yordan Osorio, Juan Pablo Anor, Fernando Aristeguieta, Darwin Machis, Ronald Hernandez, Rolf Feltscher, Luis Seijas, Joel Graterol, Rafael Romo.
The teams are out and we’re moments from kick-off.
What does Berhalter do now, though? Clearly USA's concentration at the back has been below par and this is noticeable in their passing out of defence. But should the manager abandon his style of play or does he persist with something that has obviously contributed to such a poor first-half performance?
USA have now lost their last two games consecutively, which acts as a dark cloud hanging over their Gold Cup campaign starting against Guyana in 10 days. Venezuela, though, will be full of confidence heading to the Copa America. They've comfortably beaten USA and begin their own tournament against Peru on Saturday.
Thank you for joining us for live coverage of Venezuela's victory against USA. Until next time, goodbye!
