Both teams opened their Champions League campaign with a draw; Slavia held Inter 1-1 while Dortmund drew 0-0 with Barcelona. Since that game, Slavia have gone on a three-match winning run, scoring 12 goals and conceding none in that period. As for Dortmund, they've drawn both of their games 2-2 with Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen since their last game in the competition.
Favre will be pleased that his side are leading at the break since they didn't create a lot of chances in the first half. Dortmund got into some dangerous positions, but have been caught offside a number of times. If they can change that, they'll cause Slavia more problems. As for the home side, they've had a few good opportunities and will be wondering how they aren't on the scoresheet. They looked a threat when going forward and could cause Dortmund more problems.
So, Dortmund go top of Group F for now, with Barcelona and Inter playing later on. Favre will be hoping that this result can give his side some confidence as their attention turns back to the Bundesliga when they play Freiburg at the weekend. As for Slavia, it doesn't get any easier in the Champions League as they face another tough test against Barcelona next time out in the competition.
