We're underway at Goodison Park.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Everton and West Ham United at Goodison Park.
West Ham have enjoyed a solid start to the season, despite dropping four points in their last two matches. The Hammers played out a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on the road before losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace at London Stadium. It has stymied some of their momentum from earlier in the campaign, but they have the opportunity to get back to winning ways against the struggling Toffees.
EVERTON (4-2-3-1): Jordan Pickford; Djibril Sidibe, Michael Keane, Yerry Mina, Lucas Digne; Andre Gomes, Tom Davies; Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi, Bernard; Richarlison.
WEST HAM (4-1-4-1): Roberto Jimenez; Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna, Arthur Masuaku; Declan Rice; Felipe Anderson, Mark Noble, Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals; Sebastien Haller.
WEST HAM SUBS: Fabian Balbuena, Pablo Zabaleta, Andriy Yarmolenko, Robert Snodgrass, Jack Wilshere, David Martin, Albian Ajeti.
Marco Silva is entering the contest under huge pressure to remain in his position after suffering four defeats on the bounce in the Premier League. The Toffees have taken only seven points from their opening eight games of the campaign, leaving them in the relegation zone. They have to earn a positive result this afternoon to ease the stress on their manager and kickstart their season.
The Hammers have lost the battle in the middle of the park and have allowed far too much space for Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi to exploit in their half of the pitch. They're fortunate to only be a goal behind and Pellegrini will be laying into his team for an improved performance in the second period.
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
Everton are next in action against Brighton & Hove Albion on the road next week, while West Ham face Sheffield United at home.
