The pressure is on Barcelona to respond to Real Madrid at the top of the table after Los Blancos overtook Quique Setien's men. A victory over Atletico would lift the Catalan club back to the summit, although their recent form has been patchy. Barca dropped points against Celta Vigo last time out courtesy of a late equaliser from Iago Aspas. Setien will have to pick up his side as Atletico will provide a very difficult challenge this evening.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the LaLiga clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou.
Atletico have been rampant over the last four matches, racking up maximum points. Diego Simeone's men have charged into third spot as they look to secure Champions League football once again next term. Los Rojiblancos overcame Deportivo Alaves last time out as strikes from Saul Niguez and Diego Costa were enough to secure the win. They will be desperately to look to end their poor record against Barca, which has plagued them for too long.
